Head Coach Alex Golesh has officially added DeMarcus Van Dyke as the Tigers’ new cornerbacks coach — his fifth assistant to join him from South Florida. Van Dyke, a former Miami Hurricane and NFL defensive back, brings professional experience and proven turnover-producing ability to a unit that desperately needs it.
Last season, South Florida ranked in the top 15 nationally in interceptions, forcing 14 turnovers through aggressive secondary play. Auburn’s defense, while solid on the scoreboard, struggled with big plays, miscommunication, and pass coverage lapses.
